PENNY
Quality and freshness at the best price
PENNY is the discount brand of REWE International AG. The company operates approximately 320 stores in Austria, offering a product range of more than 1,900 items and employing approximately 2,930 people. PENNY’s strength lies in the quality of its Austrian fresh produce and brand-name products. As the only domestic grocery discounter, PENNY offers the personalized service of an in-store butcher at 220 locations. For fruits and vegetables, the motto is “Fresh until closing time,” and bread and pastries are delivered fresh several times a day directly from the store’s in-house bakery. The offering is rounded out by weekly rotating products and promotions in both the non-food and food sections. PENNY customers have access to jö, the largest domestic customer club.
BIPA
The World of Beauty and Home Care
Skincare, beauty, and wellness: BIPA sets trends in Austria. With approximately 590 stores, the company is the largest domestic drugstore retailer. Its product range includes international brand-name items as well as private labels such as BI CARE, bi good, and LOOK BY BIPA. There is also the BIPA Online Shop for convenient shopping from home. BIPA employs approximately 4,000 people in Austria and trains about 140 apprentices. The company is a popular employer: BIPA has received multiple awards from the independent Great Place to Work® Institute. It also supports charitable projects such as the Caritas mother-and-child shelters. BIPA is a partner in the jö Bonus Club.
ADEG
Popular local grocery store
“Close to Home”: That is the guiding principle of the local retailer ADEG. Its driving force is its independent store owners—entrepreneurs with a long tradition and strong convictions who are deeply rooted in their home regions. They operate approximately 370 local stores throughout the country. ADEG store owners employ about 2,300 people in Austria. They understand the needs of the local community and focus on seasonal products from their region. In addition, customers also benefit from the popular private-label brands of REWE International AG. ADEG is a partner in the jö Bonus Club.
Sutterlüty
The Family-Friendly Market in Ländle
From the region, for the region: Sutterlüty supplies Vorarlberg with high-quality food. The focus is on products from Vorarlberg and the Lake Constance region, as well as the Sutterlüty’s quality brand. One out of every three euros spent here flows back into the region. REWE International AG’s private labels, such as Ja! Natürlich and clever®, round out the product range. As one of Vorarlberg’s largest employers, Sutterlüty employs around 650 people and trains 45 apprentices. The local grocery store has received multiple awards as a family-friendly company and training provider. Regular customers benefit from the Sutterlüty loyalty card. REWE International AG has held a stake in Sutterlüty since 2003.
