THE BEST STARTS WITH US
BILLA Czech Republic
BILLA Czech Republic entered the Czech market in 1990 and opened its first supermarket in Brno in November 1991. Since then, BILLA has expanded its network to 289 stores, which now operate throughout the Czech Republic. The BILLA product range is also available at 71 Shell gas stations under the Stop & Shop concept and at 4 OMV gas stations under the VIVA BILLA concept. BILLA has operated an online store in the Czech Republic since 2023. BILLA’s strategy is based on offering primarily fresh foods such as fruits and vegetables, baked goods, meat and meat products, deli items, and dairy products. BILLA also focuses on supporting Czech producers, which is why Czech food products account for the largest share of total sales. BILLA also places great emphasis on customer focus, customer-friendly service, and the long-term development of its employees in stores, logistics, and headquarters. BILLA’s portfolio includes over 2,000 products under its own brands, such as BILLA, BILLA Premium, BILLA BIO, Free, and VegaVita. Clever is the company’s oldest and best-known private label, which was introduced to customers in 1999. In BILLA’s portfolio, customers will also find purely Czech brands such as Vocílka, with its range of meat and meat products from Czech farms and production facilities, and Česká farma, featuring fruits and vegetables from Czech fields and orchards. The newest brands in the portfolio are Grill Party, Nice Bites, and Sol Vineus. The success of BILLA Czech Republic’s private labels is further confirmed by the awards received at the Consumer Choice 2024 competition, where BILLA’s private labels received the most awards.
