Working together to promote integrity and responsibility

As part of REWE GROUP, we want to improve the lives of our customers. We compete fairly, comply with the law and are reliable partners.

Integrity, responsibility and rule-compliant conduct are the cornerstones of our business success. It is therefore essential that all employees – including managers – as well as senior management share these values and put them into practice every day.

The Code of Conduct of REWE GROUP sets out the standards for our conduct in business and in our dealings with each other. It guides our day-to-day conduct, describes the principles underpinning our collaboration and is binding on us all.

Report concerns. Strengthen trust.

Treating potential breaches of rules and laws openly and responsibly is a key part of our compliance culture. That is why we encourage a “speak-up” culture in which concerns are taken seriously, treated confidentially and carefully investigated. Both internal and external whistleblowers have a range of options for reporting concerns.

Our digital whistleblowing system provides a secure reporting channel that allows for the confidential reporting of potential compliance breaches, unlawful conduct or other irregularities. Whistleblowers can choose whether to disclose their identity or remain anonymous.

After submitting a report, whistleblowers can stay in touch with the relevant department via a secure communication portal and, if necessary, provide additional information or documents. Every report is treated as confidential and investigated thoroughly.

Alternatively, you are welcome to contact our external ombudsman. The REWE GROUP has appointed attorney Richard Rill as its external ombudsman. Both employees and members of the public can contact him to report concerns or seek advice on compliance matters. The ombudsman is bound by confidentiality; there is no charge for contacting him.
