The company's internal network for lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer employees called different together (di.to) actively and informatively addresses the subject of LGBTIQ and promotes the exchange of experiences among employees. Working together, the network implements ideas to reduce prejudice.

Women in top management

Studies clearly show that mixed teams with a similar proportion of men and women in management are more successful and productive. More than 50% of our stores are already run by female managers. But like many other companies, we are confronted with an imbalance of women and men in top management positions. We are actively counteracting this and offer the “Women's Drive” programme to deliberately establish women in leadership positions.

We are certified according to the Career and Family Audit. Many measures are already anchored in the company and are important components in the promotion of a balanced work and family life. Examples of this are regular invitations to exchanges between employees on leave and those responsible in the HR department or with their direct superiors, or support with holiday care.

Gaining valuable experience

Trainee programmes for university graduates

We offer annual entry-level international management trainee programmes and, since 2021, an international finance trainee programme. Both programmes last 16 months and consist of phases in the branch, abroad as well as rotations. In addition to the international programmes, there are national sales trainee programmes at BILLA and BIPA. We also offer various specialist trainee programmes.
