REWE GROUP Austria and LIDL jointly launch a company Covid vaccination programme

Lidl Austria and REWE Group (BILLA, PENNY, BIPA, ADEG and Sutterlüty) are cooperating for company Covid vaccinations. Vaccinations are expected to take place from May 19th at company locations in Vienna, Wiener Neudorf, private clinics in Salzburg, Graz, Vienna and on public vaccination routes. Thus, employees of LIDL Austria will have access to the vaccination facilities of REWE Group and vice versa. By the end of May, up to 45,000 employees can be vaccinated.

Now that sufficient quantities of vaccines will be available, Lidl Austria and REWE Group will jointly launch company vaccinations starting probably on May 19th.

The food retailers are working with private clinics and public vaccination routes for the vaccination. The joint vaccination sites and vaccination dates are coordinated between the companies. "For example, Lidl employees in Lower Austria can use our vaccination routes, while REWE employees in Salzburg can use the vaccination infrastructure of Lidl Austria. We are pleased not only to enable many employees to be vaccinated, but also to send a strong signal of togetherness," says Marcel Haraszti, REWE International AG Executive Board Member.
