On 24 November, Fürstenfeld will celebrate a premiere with the opening of the PENNY store in the new, exclusive PENNYVersum design. The new shop concept invites customers to taste and presents regional diversity with an expanded assortment of fruit and vegetables, baked goods, dairy products, sausage and meat products as well as convenience foods. Customers can expect more than 100 additional products, which can be found quickly and easily thanks to the new shop concept. Among them are vegan chocolate donuts, hearty garlic sticks, rustic "Ich bin Österreich" nut bread and a variety of other products from the popular PENNY private labels and well-known brands. All promotional items from the flyer are clearly presented in one area, making it easy for customers to find them. A trained butcher is also on hand in the new shop to delight customers with freshly cut meat from Austria.
"We are proud to open the first PENNYVersum shop today and to provide Fürstenfeld with even more freshness and products at the best price-performance ratio. The new PENNY store is a regional showcase project. We are the right store for daily shopping, a regional partner and employer for 11 employees," said PENNY Managing Director Ralf Teschmit.
Top advice for customers in Fürstenfeld
With around 1,900 products on more than 675 m2 of sales floor, the new PENNY store in Fürstenfeld offers a wide range of products. "My team and I will convince our customers with expert advice and high-quality PENNY products from the region," says store manager Ilse Schlener, looking forward to working in the PENNYVersum shop. The PENNY location secures 11 jobs in the region, including 4 long-time employees and one employee on parental leave.
Continued focus on fresh and regional products
PENNY focuses on high-quality local products: from the regional private label "Ich bin Österreich" (I am Austria) with more than 200 items from reliable local production to ongoing promotions. Regionality is also a focus in the PENNY-Versum. Many items from the "I am Austria" range come directly from local suppliers.
PENNY is the only discounter to offer the personal service of trained butchers in its shops. They not only provide customers with tips and tricks, but also fulfil individual meat requests, such as special seasonings or cuts from fresh pork or beef that is 100% Austrian. All pieces of meat are processed in order to counteract food waste. Larger quantities or personal requests can also be pre-ordered directly via an order form in the shop or, brand new, at penny.at/pre-order. Freshness is also a priority in the fruit and vegetable department: "Frischeheld:innen" check the products every two hours to guarantee the highest quality.
Austrian pastries and a wide range of organic products
PENNY relies on Austrian bakers for freshly baked bread and pastries. In addition, PENNY also scores in the organic segment: with its own brand "ECHT BIO!", it offers a high-quality assortment of certified organic foods at attractive prices, ranging from organic whole milk and organic sunflower oil to fair trade coffee and organic herbs in pots. With "Food For Future", the brand discounter has launched its vegan, climate-neutral own brand in Austria. Whether vegan minced meat, vegan meat sausage that tastes hot and cold, juicy burger patties based on peas or vegan coffee to go - with "Food For Future" PENNY focuses on variety instead of renunciation.
Even more service at PENNY
In the reopened shop, PENNY offers its customers the best service: As in every PENNY store, deposits and withdrawals can be made to one's own current account. When paying with an ATM card, customers can withdraw up to € 200 within the scope of their purchase. PENNY is also a partner in Austria's largest customer club, the jö Bonus Club.
PENNY supports social projects and relies on green electricity
As a partner of the Austrian Red Cross, PENNY is committed to the community. Initiatives such as the PENNY Family Relief Fund support people in emergency situations. As a member of the klima:aktiv pakt2020 of the Federal Ministry for Sustainability, PENNY has committed itself to using resources sparingly and reducing CO2 emissions. For example, the entire PENNY store network is supplied with 100% green electricity. The new PENNYVersum in Fürstenfeld also has its own photovoltaic system on the roof. As an additional service, four e-charging stations will be put into operation in the coming weeks, where customers can conveniently charge their e-cars.
