Rising rents, electricity prices or acquisition costs for school materials: PENNY and the Austrian Red Cross have been supporting families in need since 2011 as part of the PENNY Family Relief Fund and provide assistance wherever it is needed.
With its cold temperatures, winter is the cuddly season par excellence and is enjoyed by young and old alike as they cozy up on the couch with their loved ones or even their favourite cuddly toy. However, winter is a particularly difficult time for children from needy families. In order to give them warmth and security during the Christmas season, PENNY provides the Austrian Red Cross with several boxes of cuddly stuffed animals and various toys. These will be distributed to families and children in need as part of Christmas packages.
"Cuddling with soft toys is important for children and adolescents. That's why we are very pleased that PENNY is once again donating cuddly toys for our Christmas parcels for families and children in need. PENNY and the Austrian Red Cross have been partners for more than 10 years when it comes to supporting families in Austria," says Katharina Albrecher, Head of Education and Learning Programmes at the Austrian Red Cross.
PENNY family aid fund for children and families in need
Whether rising energy prices, rent arrears or new school materials for children - this is where the PENNY Family Relief Fund comes in. "Right now, the most basic necessities are hardly affordable for many families. Together with the Austrian Red Cross, we have been supporting the weakest in our society since 2011 as part of the PENNY Family Relief Fund. Our fundraising campaigns bring together the entire PENNY family to help families in need," explains Mario Märzinger, PENNY Managing Director.
