The REWE Group personality seminar in Austria has become a fixed institution. Around 450 apprentices were registered this year to take advantage of their opportunity to deepen their potential and soft skills - from communication to teamwork - for their further career path on July 19 and 20 in Saalfelden, Salzburg.
Once a year, all apprentices at BILLA, BILLA Plus, PENNY, BIPA, ADEG, Sutterlüty and the training companies at headquarters are invited to the REWE Group Personality Seminar at the end of their first year of apprenticeship. The young people seized the opportunity and engaged in a total of 22 workshops. The diverse program ranged from exploring the "8 Secrets of Happiness," mental training to examining one's own goals, creating one's own rap to "BOOT-CAMP" for consulting and sales professionals" and much more.
"All paths are open to our employees, depending on their interests, motivation and aptitude. We invest in the further training of our employees with an extensive range of training courses and start promoting talents as early as possible," explains Johannes Zimmerl, Group HR Director of REWE Group in Austria. "These two days are incredibly valuable for the young people, because they train incredibly important social skills while having fun in the team - not only for the job, but for life. At the same time, we offer our apprentices the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with top management." Around 20 top managers - including all the Management Board members and Managing Directors of the trading companies and central divisions of REWE Group in Austria - did not miss the opportunity to attend the workshops together with the apprentices.
REWE Group Austria currently trains around 2,300 apprentices in 20 different apprenticeship professions in its trading companies and central divisions. In 2023, up to 900 apprentices are to be taken on, and the search is still in full swing.
