The supply of food is one of the essential points in blackout preparedness. Mayor Thomas Steiner therefore emphasizes once again: "Take precautions in good time and stock up! To make this easier for you, we have put together the Blackout-Vorratskisterl together with BILLA PLUS, which will be available from October 2 by means of a voucher." The Vorratskisterl contains longer-lasting food that lasts for one person for about 14 days. The advantage: no independent working off of lists, no product search in the supermarket, the Kisterl is fixed and ready packed. It can be purchased at BILLA PLUS at Mattersburger Strasse 50 in Eisenstadt exclusively on presentation of a voucher. This coupon brings also a reduced price, which makes the city of Eisenstadt possible: For 70 euro one receives the Vorratskisterl, which has altogether a value of more than 80 euro.
One can reserve the coupon already starting from 25 September by E-Mail under infostelle@eisenstadt.at or by telephone under 02682/705-153. Starting from 2.10. this can be fetched then in the city hall. The action is limited to 1,000 Vorratskisterln and applies only to persons with domicile in iron city.
BILLA Sales Director Stefan Weinlich also emphasizes the importance of this measure for the population: "For 70 years, BILLA has been part of Austria and then as now is an important food supplier for all people in the country and a reliable partner for our customers. They can count on us even in uncertain times. With this storage box, which our employees put together in the store, we offer an easy way to prepare for crisis situations."
Together, BILLA and the city of Eisenstadt are making a valuable contribution to raising awareness of crisis situations and ensuring security of supply for the population. BILLA and the city of Eisenstadt have had a close partnership for many years; around 200 employees work in two BILLA and BILLA PLUS stores each, and numerous local and regional suppliers from Burgenland supply our stores. "With this special campaign, we want to make it as easy as possible for the people of Eisenstadt to stock up on food for a blackout. You don't have to work through lists, you get a ready-packed Kisterl. I would like to thank BILLA PLUS for the good cooperation and hope that many Eisenstadt residents will take up the offer," says Mayor Thomas Steiner.
