BILLA Transformer Tour: Provincial councilor Mario Gerber visits the BILLA apprentice truck

According to the motto "Turn apprenticeship into career", BILLA is embarking on a completely new concept of apprentice search with the Transformer Tour. Awaiting interested young people is a specially created, walk-in truck with a glass front and a modern interior, which will be touring all of Austria's provinces from the beginning of October to the end of November.

A group of people poses in front of a large yellow mobile unit with a mountainous backdrop. The unit features an advertisement with a person holding a tablet. Most individuals are wearing yellow shirts. A table with the same yellow stands to the side. The sky is clear and blue.

On October 13, the BILLA apprenticeship truck stopped at the market square in Innsbruck. In a relaxed atmosphere with refreshments and snacks, the BILLA team provided all the answers to questions about apprenticeships at BILLA and presented the diverse training opportunities in detail. During the official stopover in the Tyrolean capital, Provincial Councilor Mario Gerber was also a guest and expressed his enthusiasm for the new concept around the topic of "apprenticeship with a career": "Politics and business must work closely together to create the jobs of tomorrow and to inform young people about the diversity of apprenticeships. Through innovative approaches such as the BILLA Transformer Tour in Innsbruck, we can increase job satisfaction and guarantee security of supply in our regions."

BILLA Sales Director Hannes Gruber was also convinced: "BILLA not only offers a variety of career opportunities, but also fulfills its educational mission and its responsibility to accompany young people in their training. The two-day BILLA Transformer Tour in Innsbruck is an expression of our joy and commitment to developing young people both in terms of character and professional skills."

The "yellow" of the job: Ten apprenticeships open up a wide range of career opportunities at BILLA

Whether retail salesperson with a focus on food, delicatessen or digital sales, confectioner, a dual apprenticeship as retail salesperson or office clerk - the apprenticeship training at BILLA covers completely different areas of work and offers a suitable apprenticeship for every interest. In addition, apprentices can complete the apprenticeship with Matura and internships abroad during the apprenticeship period. In the course of training, BILLA puts together individual packages of measures for apprentices, which specifically support and promote apprentices according to their abilities. Vocational school graduations and final apprenticeship exams with good results are rewarded with attractive bonuses. There is also the opportunity to apply for a junior management program after successfully completing an apprenticeship. A special highlight of the apprenticeship at BILLA is the "Apprentices run stores" campaign, in which apprentices take over the management of selected BILLA stores for a week. This successful project was implemented for the eleventh time this year due to the positive feedback from apprentices.
