BILLA online store donates 385 chocolate Advent calendars to Caritas learning cafés

In the 69 Caritas learning cafés throughout Austria, children and young people between the ages of six and 15 receive free support with learning, homework and preparing for schoolwork. In addition to targeted learning assistance, the aim is also to help children enjoy learning. BILLA has been supporting the Caritas learning cafés for many years with donations of money and food. The BILLA online store team is also happy to make its contribution and is now looking forward to bringing a little joy to 385 children and young people who regularly visit the Caritas learning cafés in Vienna. David Renker, head of the BILLA online store, brought chocolate Advent calendars to the Lerncafé in Mommsengasse (Wieden).

"The aim of the BILLA online store is to make life easier for Austrians, but also to put a smile on their faces from time to time. We are delighted to be able to give the young people who are studying so hard in the Caritas learning cafés in Vienna a little surprise with the Advent calendar donation. We would also like to help families at home with their pre-Christmas shopping, for example when it comes to Santa Claus bags. That's why we're offering a 25 percent discount on all confectionery in the BILLA online store from December 1 to 6," says David Renker, Head of the BILLA online store.

"At BILLA, we have been supporting all 68 learning cafés across Austria together with our customers for ten years as part of the 'Round up, please' campaign. Since its inception, this has already reached a total donation amount of around 1.7 million euros, a large part of which has benefited the learning cafés. In this way, we want to help children and young people to succeed in their learning, but also sweeten their well-earned breaks," says Peter Merhar, Senior Project Manager BILLA Sustainability.
