Since 1997, the internationally active "Make-A-Wish" Foundation has made it its mission to fulfill the most diverse wishes of seriously ill children: from toys and trips to meetings with well-known personalities. A cause that BILLA also supports. For this reason, the employees swapped their work clothes for kitchen aprons for a day and went into their own "Christmas bakery". Together with award-winning chef Toni Mörwald, they created hundreds of delicious Christmas cookies. BILLA Sales Manager Bettina Gruber was delighted: "I am incredibly proud of my team! Each and every one of us is helping to ensure that our baking idea is not only a successful fundraising campaign, but also unites us even more as a team. Because we are united by the idea of doing good together."
The fundraising campaign will run until 22 December, after which the money collected will be handed over to the Make-A-Wish organization. Birgit Fux, Managing Director of Make-A-Wish, is full of praise: "I'm delighted with this BILLA baking campaign. I am thrilled by the initiative and commitment of the whole team. It was a great atmosphere! Thank you for supporting 'Make-A-Wish' and making it possible to fulfill the heartfelt wishes of seriously ill children."
Raziye Yaz, Market Manager Schüttausstrasse: "It made me happy to take part in this wonderful project. We can make children happy. And we had a great day with our team colleagues. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this, especially Toni Mörwald, who accompanied us."
Toni Mörwald was also impressed by the commitment to the baking campaign: "It's always a great pleasure to cook or, as in our case, bake with a nice group. When this helps other people, the Christmas spirit can already be felt in the run-up to Christmas. Thanks to BILLA and the whole team for this experience."
