Successful campaigns such as “I'm living for my club” and the organization of the BILLA Cups underline the food retailer's commitment to Austrian sports clubs. As the new official main partner of Admira Wacker for young talent and the academy, BILLA is comprehensively expanding this role in the area of youth development and making an important contribution to supporting young talent. The partnership began in July 2024 and will initially run for three years until summer 2027. As part of the partnership, the BILLA logo will adorn the jerseys of the youth and academy teams from next season 2024/25. In addition, the traditional club can expect further advertising measures supported by BILLA. The aim is to strengthen cohesion in the region in the long term - after all, Admira Wacker's home ground in Maria Enzersdorf is only a few kilometers away from BILLA's headquarters in Wiener Neudorf.

Marcel Haraszti, CEO of REWE International AG: “At BILLA, we not only see it as our responsibility to ensure local supplies for the people of Austria, but also to generate added value for society. Sports clubs are an important part of Austrian culture and make it possible to experience the joy of exercise and thus promote a healthy lifestyle. We are therefore delighted that, as the official main partner of Admira Wacker for young talent and the academy, we can focus our support on training and promoting young talent.”

Harald Mießner, BILLA Management Board member: “Team spirit is also practiced beyond the BILLA stores. As the new main partner of Admira Wacker for young talent and the academy, we are starting with the youngest players and have made it our goal to help them realize their dreams in the best possible way. We are delighted that this partnership has come about and wish the youth and academy teams every success for the upcoming matches.”

Niklas Belihart, Managing Director of Admira Wacker: “The partnership with BILLA as the main partner for young talent is undoubtedly an important step for the club. It shows BILLA's commitment to supporting youth sport and its focus on training as well as its commitment to the region. It also underlines the excellent reputation of our youth work.”

BILLA Cup goes to the grand national final with 14 junior teams on August 24, 2024

106 junior teams, all sponsored by BILLA, have so far put their skills to the test as part of the BILLA Cup, including ten all-girls teams. A total of 371 soccer matches have been played, in which more than 1,100 girls and boys in the U12 age group have taken part. The BILLA tournaments were held in Steyregg, Neulengbach, Stockerau, Bergheim, Südstadt, Rückersdorf and Kalsdorf bei Graz from March 23 to July 6, 2024, and there was an all-girls' cup in Jois on June 15. Now the big national final is just around the corner on August 24, in which a total of 14 teams that have qualified in the regional cups will take part. The venue is the Datenpol Arena in Südstadt in Maria Enzersdorf - the home of Admira Wacker. Admission to the match is free for spectators.

“In the BILLA Cups held so far, the participants have provided a total of more than 75 hours of soccer excitement. The raffle that we have offered at the Cups has raised donations amounting to around 10,000 euros, which will benefit charitable organizations in the regions. Campaigns like the BILLA Cup can only be successfully implemented with the best teamwork. I would like to thank everyone involved and look forward to a spectacular finale,” says Harald Mießner.
