Marcel Haraszti, CEO of REWE International AG: "As one of the largest food retailers and the largest private employer in Vienna, we are delighted to have been part of the 18th 'Kinder Business Week'. It is important to us to show how exciting and varied the food trade is and what goes into making our stores run so well. BILLA workshop: children create supermarkets of the future

As part of the " Kinder Business Week", around 30 kids had the opportunity to take part in two free BILLA workshops on 22 and 24 July 2024. A short presentation, which offered child-friendly insights into the company, was followed by a round of introductions of the BILLA colleagues on site. A quiz with fun facts about BILLA was then presented, in which the young participants had to guess how many meatloaf rolls are sold every day or how many shopping trolleys there are in Austria. Divided into groups, each of them was given a supermarket floor plan to draw their supermarket of the future on paper. Whether slides or conveyor belts - there were no limits to their creativity when it came to design. After a presentation of the individual creations, the supermarket of the future was chosen. Each member of the winning team received an "Escape The Game". In addition, each child received a "Gemma Billa" bum bag filled with tasty goodies.
