Press Release 9th August 2024

Young basketball players put the pedal to the metal at the "BILLA 3x3 Grätzel Tour" in Bergmillergasse

The first "BILLA 3x3 Grätzel Tour" will run from July 3 to August 25. The exciting basketball tournament series, which was launched by BILLA together with the Austrian Basketball Association, takes place on the iconic "Käfig courts" in Vienna and offers basketball players aged 10 to 14 in all districts the opportunity to put their skills to the test.

A group of people, including several wearing basketball jerseys, stand together on an outdoor basketball court. They are holding basketballs and posing for a photo. In the background, there are yellow tents and a large billboard. Two police officers are part of the group, and others are casually dressed. The scene appears to be a community event on a sunny day.

The Vienna police were also on hand to provide information about safety issues and the police profession in general as part of the GEMEINSAM.SICHER initiative. The "stars of tomorrow" showed off their throwing skills and abilities on the court in front of Andrea Mautz, Member of the Vienna State Parliament: "It's impressive to see the enthusiasm and commitment of the young players.
