BILLA apprentices bake biscuits for the Ö3 Christmas miracle

Especially in the upcoming Christmas season, when solidarity is particularly important, BILLA is focussing on initiatives and fundraising campaigns to help where support is urgently needed. The food retailer has therefore launched a pre-Christmas sales campaign to support the Ö3 Christmas Miracle, one of the largest fundraising campaigns in the country, together with its customers: From 15 November to 18 December 2024, handmade Christmas biscuits will be available for EUR 3.99 in selected BILLA PLUS stores in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland.

The entire proceeds will go to the Ö3 Christmas Miracle, which is raising funds for the tenth time this year for the Licht ins Dunkel emergency relief fund to assist families in need in Austria. The cookies have been lovingly handcrafted by pastry apprentices with the support of Eva-Maria Kaiser, the legal manager for the bakery and pastry shop at BILLA.

The Ö3 Christmas Miracle connects Austria, and as one of the largest grocery retailers in the country, we also contribute to strengthening this connection. I am pleased that our apprentices have so enthusiastically produced the handmade cookies.”

Delicate Christmas cookies made with love

Four pastry apprentices, with the support of Eva-Maria Kaiser, have baked hundreds of kilograms of Christmas cookies for this charity campaign. They quickly settled on popular butter shortbread cookies for the variety. This classic will be sustainably packaged in jars and available from November 15 in 29 selected BILLA PLUS locations in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland – while supplies last – for €3.99.
