Receipt initiative against violence against women: REWE Group in Austria (BILLA, BILLA PLUS, BIPA, PENNY and ADEG) supports information campaign on offers of help for women and girls affected by violence
From 25 November to 10 December, REWE Group Austria is once again taking a stand against violence against women and girls. All REWE Group retail companies in Austria are launching a 16-day information campaign against domestic violence in co-operation with the Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI). This campaign runs from the International Day against Violence against Women to Human Rights Day. As part of the campaign, the emergency numbers of the police (133), the women's helpline (0800 222 555) and the violence protection centre (0800 700 217) will be printed on the receipts of retail companies. The aim is to inform those affected directly about the help available and to draw attention to quick support options.
