Espen B. Larsen's position will not be filled. His colleague on the Management Board, Marcel Haraszti, will take over his responsibilities on 1 October 2025, in addition to his responsibility for the Austrian full-range business (BILLA, BIPA, ADEG). Between 1 June and 1 October 2025, the BILLA CEE & IKI unit will report directly to Jan Kunath, the REWE Group Management Board member responsible for Retail International.

Espen B. Larsen has been the member of the Management Board of REWE International AG responsible for the full product range in Central and Eastern Europe (BILLA, IKI) since 2021. Prior to this, he was a member of the PENNY International Management Board from October 2018. He was responsible for the areas of purchasing, purchasing organisation, strategic marketing, sustainability, expansion and construction.
Mr Larsen joined REWE Group in 2010 as CEO PENNY Italy. In June 2014, he took over the role of CEO at PENNY Czech Republic until his move to the PENNY International Management Board.
Marcel Haraszti has been a member of the Management Board of REWE International AG since 2016. He began his career at REWE Group in 2001 and, after working as an assistant to the Management Board in Austria, joined the Management Board of BILLA Ukraine in 2004. From 2007 to 2008, Marcel Haraszti was CEO of BILLA Romania. He was then appointed Chairman of the Management Board of the retail group IKI in Lithuania. In 2012, Haraszti joined the management of REWE Vollsortiment in Germany, where he was responsible for the southern region.
