An atmospheric end to the anniversary year: Christmas at ADEG

Deeply rooted in their region, ADEG merchants know exactly what it takes to make the Christmas season special. The finest regional delicacies that turn every meal into a feast, or lovingly homemade treats that make children's eyes light up. In addition, many merchants support their customers with doorstep deliveries or help them with their Christmas preparations by offering ready-made festive platters. For 130 years, they have been creating places in their regions where people can come together to enjoy the small and big moments of the Christmas season.

Snowflakes are falling, and the background shows a building with illuminated letters reading "Adeg Benedikt." The tree has lights and wooden star ornaments, creating a festive atmosphere.

At a glance

  • This year, ADEG is once again focusing its Christmas campaign on involving its independent retailers and highlighting their importance as an indispensable part of the local community.

  • The campaign testimonial is Stefan Benedikt, owner of the ADEG market in Straßburg (Sankt Veit an der Glan district).

  • ADEG retailers are reliable local suppliers in Austria's regions.

Focus on people

Like many ADEG retailers throughout Austria, Stefan Benedikt and his team in his community of Straßburg (district of St. Veit an der Glan) work hard all year round to promote a lively community spirit in their town. This year, he is the face of ADEG's Christmas campaign, which also marks the festive conclusion of ADEG's 130th anniversary. The campaign film, produced by the creative agency Wien Nord Serviceplan, once again shows the personal commitment of ADEG merchants to their village community, embedded in a Christmas atmosphere. ‘Especially at Christmas, you realise how much our work means to people. When products from regional businesses find their way onto the festive tables, it's a wonderful sign that we, as local suppliers, are truly part of life in the village,’ says the independent ADEG retailer.

Another special highlight at the end of the anniversary year is the social media competition, which will start on 27 November in parallel with the campaign: anyone who visits ADEG in their favourite Christmas outfit, takes a photo, posts it on Facebook or Instagram and tags ADEG has the chance to win one of 130 ADEG shopping vouchers worth €100.

Social community at ADEG

The ADEG Christmas campaign once again highlights ADEG's core values: locality, sustainability and community. Florian Klein, REWE Wholesale Managing Director, explains: "With the Christmas campaign, we want to show how much our ADEG retailers do for their customers throughout the year. They are much more than local suppliers; they are people who know their communities, support them and hold them together. The Christmas season in particular shows how indispensable their commitment is: they ensure that regional products find their way onto festively decorated tables, support local initiatives and create places where people can come together. This commitment shapes life in the regions and has made ADEG a reliable partner for people throughout the country for 130 years."

The campaign has been running on TV and digital platforms since 23 November 2025. The competition runs from 27 November to 17 December 2025.
