ADEG ARTEGRA as a beacon project for social inclusion, regional cohesion and digitalisation
ADEG ARTEGRA in the municipality of Kleinzell im Mühlkreis in the district of Rohrbach (Upper Austria) is a unique local supplier in many respects: it creates jobs for people with disabilities, supports regional producers and is also the first ADEG store in Austria with a self-check-out system.

It was immediately clear to Franz Höglinger, who currently manages the non-profit ARTEGRA Werkstätten GmbH, that ADEG ARTEGRA in Kleinzell im Mühlkreis was not going to be an ordinary ADEG store: "In Kleinzell, there has been a wish for a local supplier for a long time. ARTEGRA took this to heart with the clear goal of offering the community more than just a shopping opportunity. Thanks to the good cooperation with ADEG, we were able to successfully implement this project." In addition to its role as the only local supplier in Kleinzell, ADEG ARTEGRA also takes on another important social function: In addition to seven skilled workers, the new ADEG store also employs six sheltered employees, who thus have the opportunity for professional development. ADEG CEO Jürgen Öllinger is enthusiastic about this: "ADEG ARTEGRA is a true beacon project for social inclusion and regional cohesion. People with disabilities are given the chance to lead a fulfilled and self-determined life by their own efforts. I am proud of the cooperation and wish the entire team all the best and a successful future!"
Focus on regional products and digitalisation
ADEG ARTEGRA attaches great importance to the support of regional producers. The product range includes goods from around 20 to 25 suppliers from the immediate vicinity: "Our aim is to create an ADEG market that benefits everyone in Kleinzell. That is why it is a matter of course for us to source as many products as possible from the region," says Franz Höglinger. ADEG ARTEGRA is also a role model when it comes to digitalisation and the use of new technologies: It is the first ADEG store in Austria with a self-check-out counter.
This means that people can also shop when there are no employees on site. This makes customer-friendly and generous opening hours possible at ADEG ARTEGRA! This makes everyday life much easier for many people in Kleinzell. Mayor Klaus Falkinger is also delighted about the new local supplier: "ADEG ARTEGRA is an enrichment for the municipality of Kleinzell im Mühlkreis in several respects. Local suppliers are supported and people with and without disabilities work hand in hand. Thus, a great project has been created from which all people in Kleinzell really benefit! We hope that we can set an example for other communities as well."
The opening hours with service at ADEG ARTEGRA are Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00, and on Saturdays from 07:00 to 12:00. With self-service at the self-check-out counter, ADEG ARTEGRA is also open during the lunch break and into the evening at Kleinzell 12, 4115 Kleinzell.
