Cohesion and personal responsibility are two important values that PENNY is aware of, especially in the current times. In order to contribute to social cohesion and to support all customers in their everyday lives, another Covid-19 test lane will be opened in Klagenfurt in cooperation with the city of Klagenfurt and the Klagenfurt pharmacies. Since November 15th, the people of Klagenfurt have been able to get tested free of charge seven days a week in the car park of the PENNY market in Rosentaler Straße 133. The antigen and PCR tests are carried out by trained pharmacy staff. The test options are not linked to a purchase at PENNY.

"We are pleased to be able to offer all citizens of Klagenfurt fast and free testing options together with the City of Klagenfurt and the pharmacies. Especially in times like these, it is important to give many people easy access to test streets. The PENNY store in Klagenfurt is easily accessible, so it is easy to integrate these important tests into people's everyday lives. In addition, we save them long journeys and long waiting times," explains Ralf Teschmit, PENNY CEO. "With PENNY, we have found a strong partner with whom we can now expand our free test offer in Klagenfurt even further and offer even more people a quick test opportunity. With the new test lane in front of the PENNY store, we can carry out around 600 additional tests per day," Sebastian Guntschnig, Managing Director of Toredo Retail GmbH, is pleased about the new test lane.
