BIPA expands Quick Commerce offering: Delivery service Wolt brings over 10,000 items directly to your doorstep in five federal states

Starting Wednesday, July 30, 2025, customers can conveniently have over 10,000 items from the BIPA range delivered directly to their homes via the Wolt app. Whether it's personal care products, cosmetics, household items, or baby food – the extensive range from the stores is almost completely available through the app. The service is initially available in Vienna, Linz, Leonding, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, and Villach, with plans to launch in Innsbruck later this year.

BIPA is the first drugstore retailer in Austria to offer instant delivery of its range via the Wolt app. This responds to customers' changing needs in their shopping routines and further expands its omnichannel strategy. “Customers want to complete their shopping as flexibly and conveniently as possible today – and we offer great shopping experiences across many channels: in our stores, in our online shop, and through instant delivery services. We are very pleased to expand these offerings together with our new partner Wolt. Wolt provides a strong platform, now complemented by our extensive BIPA range,” explains BIPA Managing Director Andreas Persigehl. In urban areas, a large number of customers are already using various delivery service apps. Therefore, partnering with Wolt was a logical step for BIPA to enhance the Quick Commerce offering.

From the shelf to the doorstep – in under an hour

The more than 10,000 available products – including popular BIPA own brands – can be easily ordered through the Wolt app or website. Deliveries are dispatched from 20 BIPA stores in Vienna, Linz, Leonding, Salzburg, Graz, Klagenfurt, and Villach. The entire shopping process – from product preparation in the store to delivery at the doorstep – is completed in an average of 35 minutes. Joscha Domdey, General Manager Wolt, explains: “We want to provide our customers with a central platform through the Wolt app, where they can easily find all products for daily needs – from their favorite pizza to paper towels or baby food. The partnership with BIPA is an optimal addition to our portfolio, now enhanced with high-quality drugstore products.” All BIPA items in the Wolt app are available at branch prices. The available range will also be continuously expanded. Discount promotions and special offers from the BIPA online shop or physical stores cannot be redeemed via the Wolt app. Delivery fees start at €0.99 and vary based on the distance to the store – regardless of the order quantity and cart value. Wolt+ users do not pay delivery fees.

Customer focus as a guiding principle

With the Quick Commerce offering, BIPA is not only a pioneer in the Austrian drugstore retail market but also sets new impulses within the REWE Group with the expansion of its offerings, strengthening the foundation for future collaborations with delivery partners like Wolt. Since April 2024, BIPA has been offering more than 10,000 items at branch prices for order through the foodora app in the Vienna metropolitan area. Due to high demand, the service was expanded to all federal states in 2025.
