PENNY hands over 5,000 cuddly blankets to Bündnis Kinderschutz and ÖRK

PENNY donates warmth and security for children with a total of 5,000 plush blankets of the well-known DISNEY snowman Olaf. A large part of this will go to the Austrian Red Cross, which has been supporting children and families together with PENNY for 10 years as a long-term partner.

In addition, € 155,232 from donation campaigns will now flow into the PENNY Family Relief Fund of the WCC. This will provide emergency aid for families and children in need. The remaining blankets will be handed over for the first time to the Alliance for Child Protection and its prominent representative Thai boxer Fadi Merza. Here, too, the blankets will provide support for children.

PENNY has been supporting families in need in Austria for 10 years with the PENNY Family Relief Fund. In keeping with the cold season, PENNY is now donating warmth in the form of 5,000 cosy plush blankets, which will be handed over to the Alliance for Child Protection and the Austrian Red Cross. "Especially the cold winter and gift-giving season is a difficult time of year for children in need. Together with the Austrian Red Cross and the Alliance for Child Protection, we are allowed to do something good for the smallest in our society this year and ensure that children's eyes light up," says PENNY CEO Mario Märzinger. Especially little DISNEY fans can be happy. Because the blankets are decorated with Olaf, one of the heroes from the movie "Frozen", and thus provide not only warmth but also a cuddly companion.

PENNY in the ring for needy children

The Alliance for Child Protection around the former professional boxer Fadi Merza stands for the fight against child abuse and bullying. To support this fight, PENNY donates a part of the plush blankets to Fadi Merza and the Bündnis Kinderschutz. "The welfare of children is a personal concern for me. I am therefore delighted that PENNY is stepping into the proverbial ring with us to fight for the protection of children," explains Fadi Merza.

PENNY family for families in need

PENNY donates another part of the plush blankets to the Austrian Red Cross, which distributes them as part of Christmas packages to families and children in need. In the course of this year, PENNY has been strongly committed to helping children and families in need. For example, €155,232 have already been collected through various fundraising campaigns and handed over to the PENNY Family Relief Fund of the Austrian Red Cross. "A warm flat because the gas has been turned on again. No more fear of standing on the street because the rent has been paid. For families in need, that means everything. With the PENNY Family Relief Fund, we were able to achieve a lot together and help people out of existential emergencies. On behalf of all those affected, I would therefore like to express my sincere thanks to PENNY," Michael Opriesnig, Secretary General of the Austrian Red Cross, is pleased to say.

Donations can also be paid directly into the PENNY Family Relief Fund of the Austrian Red Cross all year round (IBAN: AT46 2011 1200 3443 3268, BIC: GIBAATWWXXX, keyword: PENNY Family Relief Fund).
