  • Low-threshold information on free family counselling together with the Diakonie de La Tour and the Province of Carinthia in all 104 Carinthian BILLA and BILLA PLUS stores

  • Rapid telephone and personal counselling in conflict situations

For this reason, in a joint initiative of BILLA, Diakonie de La Tour and the Province of Carinthia, the telephone number of the free family coaching service is printed on the checkout receipt that is given after paying for the shopping. From 21st to 31st March, low-threshold information about help options will be provided in the 104 Carinthian BILLA and BILLA PLUS stores.

"In our stores we have thousands of contact points with families who shop with us every day. With information material on display and notices such as the checkout receipt imprint, we can easily draw their attention to the counselling possibilities of family coaching and, in the best case, help them find a way out of a difficult situation," explains Kurt Aschbacher, BILLA Sales Director for Carinthia, who became aware of the project of Diakonie de La Tour through Iris Straßer, initiator and head of the "Show Responsibility!" network.

The free and anonymous family counselling service of the Diakonie de La Tour offers immediate counselling by telephone under the number 0800 240012 and provides rapid support in stressful situations and family challenges throughout Carinthia. Personal, mobile on-site counselling is also offered. Jasmin Thamer, team leader of Mobile Family Coaching at Diakonie de La Tour, says: "Our coaches support all Carinthian families by phone or at home - depending on their wishes. The topics are varied: it can be about school problems, arguments, puberty or defiance phase, stress, psychological burdens, separations, new family constellations and much more. Every topic is okay, because living together is not always sunny. Together we discuss the respective challenges of everyday life, discover new solutions and set goals. Every family has its strengths and it is precisely these strengths that we build on."

The project is implemented under the patronage of Deputy Governor Beate Prettner: "With mobile family coaching, the Province of Carinthia, together with the Diakonie, offers the fastest, most direct and unbureaucratic help when a conflict situation arises at home. One phone call is enough and the family coach is on his way. The fact that REWE Group is helping to draw attention to this offer is invaluable. We are pleased that BILLA is on board and brings the family coach contact to the families concerned via receipts."
