Chocolate cubes for when it gets tough: BILLA supports Austria's volunteer fire brigades

In 2021, the Austrian fire brigades were called out to around 264,200 incidents. From fires to vehicle salvage, the firemen and women are immediately on the spot when there is a fire - in the truest sense of the word. Yet 99% of the firefighters in Austria are volunteers. Therefore, BILLA is now starting a nationwide fundraising campaign together with its customers, the entire net proceeds of which will be donated to the volunteer fire brigades in Austria.

  • From the 25th to 30th April, customers can buy fire brigade cubes in selected BILLA PLUS stores and do something good at the same time. 

  • All proceeds will be topped up by BILLA and will benefit Austria's volunteer fire brigades. 

  • The handover will take place on May 4th - Florianitag (St. Florian's Day). 

From Monday, 25th of April, to Saturday, 30th of April, customers can buy the finest Floriani cake cubes, made by confectioners and decorated with the corps badge of the fire brigade, for 2.99 euros each in the confectionery shops of the BILLA PLUS stores throughout Austria. The total net proceeds will be increased by BILLA by a corresponding amount and handed over to the Austrian Federal Fire Brigade Association, representing the volunteer fire brigades, on Florian Day, May 4th. The association will then bundle the donations and pass them on to the provincial fire brigade associations.
