The employees of the respective branches take an additional day off during this time. After a break of two years, the PENNY store day is back this year and will take place twice on 20th July in Leibnitz and on 21st July in Weiz.
It is particularly important for Ralf Teschmit to be present in the branch: "The PENNY employees are committed to the wishes of our customers every day. They are the cornerstone of our success. That's why I'm particularly pleased to be able to work in the shop myself and to be even closer to our customers.
Mario Märzinger adds: "The branch days are a thank you to our employees. Teamwork is an important part of the daily work in our shops. The teams of the PENNY shops in Leibnitz and Weiz have shown how committed they are every day, not only to the customers but also to each other.
After the branch day had to be paused in the last two years, two winning branches were chosen this year - both times Styrian branches were able to claim victory. The two shops at Leopold-Figl-Strasse 4 in Leibnitz and Kaplanweg 2 in Weiz were selected as part of an internal competition, in which the best PENNY shop is chosen each year based on selected criteria. In 2020, the focus was on the best market stall, while in 2021 the branch with the best bake-off area, i.e. bread and pastries, won.
