The organizers' dedicated goal is to strengthen start-ups in the retail sector: "Of course, cooperations are not an end in themselves. Young companies are given the right platform within REWE Group, we can make our product ranges more attractive and our customers enjoy the benefits," says Markus Kuntke, Head of Trend and Innovation Management at REWE International AG.
The speed dating with Austria's most exciting founders in retail will start on March 2, 2023 at the BILLA PLUS store Anton Scheiblin-Gasse 8 in St. Pölten. The expert team, consisting of Markus Kuntke, Head of Trend and Innovation Management at REWE International AG, Heinrich Prokop, CEO of Clever Clover, and Birgit Polster, startup finance expert at GründerCenter Erste Bank, will provide the founders with feedback and advice on site.
One of the most successful cooperations so far was developed with the startup BettaF!sh: "BettaF!sh is great because the startup has developed a 100 percent, very tasty alternative to tuna and at the same time offers the fishing communities an alternative business model that boosts algae consumption. This is exactly the kind of multi-dimensional and sustainable business models we are looking for," says Markus Kuntke.
