Throughout the day, numerous regional delicacies were offered by local businesses in the parking lot of BILLA PLUS in Neusiedl: Fleischerei Graf, vintner Manfred Weiß, Gartner Spritzer and Golser beer provided the best culinary tastings. "The 'Sautanz' has a tradition in numerous Burgenland families to this day. In the process, all parts from the slaughtered pig are processed. The Blunz'n and the bacon have always been something special for us children - and still are today," says Manuel Balogh, store manager of BILLA PLUS in Neusiedl. Thanks to the musical performances of "die Kluani BlayPartie", not only the physical well-being but also entertainment was provided.
Over 2,000 euros for a good cause
The dedicated BILLA apprentices ran their own flea market on site, which raised over 2,000 euros. The proceeds will benefit the Lerncafé Neusiedl, which supports disadvantaged children and young people in Burgenland with tutoring. BILLA Sales Director Eric Scharnitz is enthusiastic about the successful event: "With the 'Sautanz' at BILLA PLUS in Neusiedl, we wanted to give our customers a day full of enjoyment and tradition. We succeeded very well. The places at the BILLA parking lot were already well filled shortly after the start in the morning and the mood was exuberant. The exchange between the guests and exhibiting regional producers was also very personal. I am particularly pleased that our apprentices were so committed to the flea market and that we were able to hand over a considerable sum to the Lerncafé Neusiedl."
