BILLA supports Caritas and the Evangelical Church of the Holy Cross in Graz and the surrounding area

During the (pre-)Christmas season, BILLA also focused on social interaction in Styria this year. For this reason, employees took part in the Advent calendar of the network "Verantwortung zeigen!" network to set an example for the cohesion of business and society in difficult times.

A BILLA team with employees from the sales force kicked things off at the Protestant Kreuzkirche church in Graz-Lend. There, they decorated the church interior, the pillars and the entrance area for the annual Advent market "Tannenduft & Engelshaar". On December 1, another BILLA volunteer group spent a day at the Fernitz nursing home run by Caritas Styria. The program included tying Advent wreaths, putting up fairy lights and lively discussions with the residents. To round off BILLA's involvement in the "Verantwortung zeigen!" Advent calendar, a nine-strong BILLA team invited the residents of the nursing home in Strassgang to take a walk together at the Christmas market in Graz on December 14, followed by coffee and cake at Café Kaiserfeld.

"Cohesion and solidarity are particularly important at Christmas time. At BILLA in Styria, we are proud to have made our contribution to supporting Caritas and the Protestant Kreuzkirche.
