Coffee with Cops: BILLA supports exchange between police and civilians

The "Coffee with Cops" campaign as part of the Federal Ministry of the Interior's "GEMEINSAM.SICHER" initiative in mid-March at LentiaCity in Linz offered customers of the BILLA PLUS store a special opportunity for a low-threshold exchange with the police. True to the motto "Talking brings people together", questions and concerns relating to the police's area of expertise could be discussed openly with the officers present in an informal atmosphere over a cup of coffee and delicious treats from the BILLA patisserie.

The focus was on building networks and exchanging security-related ideas. Upper Austria's Deputy Police Director Major General Günther Humer emphasized the importance of the joint cooperation: "The 'Coffee with Cops' campaign with BILLA is very important for us, as we can spontaneously reach people who can ask us questions that have been on their minds for some time. Our common goal is to make the local environment safer, better and more liveable through dialog with the population."

Thomas Steingruber, BILLA Sales Director in Upper Austria, was also impressed by the cooperation: "The 'Coffee with Cops' campaign not only led to numerous inspiring conversations between the officers and our employees, but also gave our customers the chance to get in touch with the police directly. The 'GEMEINSAM.SICHER' initiative enables the police to quickly identify or prevent negative developments by talking to the public. We are therefore very happy to support this project, as it strengthens many people's sense of security and both our customers and the police officers can enjoy the offers from our patisserie. Safety and well-being complement each other perfectly."
