BILLA launches Sacherwürfel campaign for women suffering from cancer

BILLA is taking on social responsibility and is helping where help is needed with various initiatives and fundraising campaigns. As part of a new sales campaign, all BILLA PLUS stores throughout Austria will be offering handmade Sacher cubes for EUR 2.99 from October 3 to 20, 2024, with part of the proceeds going to the “feel again” association. This supports women suffering from cancer with free feel-good mornings, which include personal make-up coaching and the opportunity for a photo shoot.

"feel again": Makeup courses for women with cancer

In September 2018, makeup artist Catharina Flieger and photographer Birgit Machtinger held the first free makeup course with a photoshoot for women with cancer in Eisenstadt. Since then, wellness mornings have been held monthly in Burgenland, Lower Austria, Vienna, Upper Austria, and Styria. During these events, participants learn how to conceal external side effects of chemotherapy, such as skin changes or the loss of eyelashes and eyebrows. They also have the opportunity to take free portrait photos. The goal is much more than just applying a bit of color; it is about forgetting worries for a few hours, exchanging experiences, and simply being. The aim of "feel again" is to enhance the self-confidence of women and improve their quality of life. More information can be found at: https://www.feelagain.at/
