Michael Paterno, BILLA Management Board member: “The people at REWE Group come from more than 100 nations, have different social or cultural backgrounds, different sexual orientations, genders or disabilities. This diversity makes for multifaceted perspectives and experiences that make us an open employer. Together, we are committed to creating a working environment in which everyone wants to contribute and develop. For us as a company, this means addressing potential prejudices and creating and continuously ensuring respectful cooperation.”

“As REWE Group, we take part in a large number of events to promote mutual exchange. Networking events such as 'di.fferent to.gether: Mut!? zur Sichtbarkeit' are a valuable platform for strengthening cohesion and mutual understanding through joint dialog. We would like to thank everyone involved for a great evening,” says Markus Kuntke.

Among other things, REWE Group ensures the visibility of the LGBTIQ+ community through annual sponsorships, such as in cooperation with the Rainbow Ball, the Tuntenball, the Vienna PRIDE, the Mittersill PRIDE and PRIDE Biz. The PRIDE Month is also flying the flag in the product area with BILLA Konditorei's rainbow roulade and BIPA's BI Care rainbow soap. REWE Group also took part in Austria's first queer career fair “Rainbow Day” this year and received the best ratings as an employer.
