BILLA innovation fair inspires with around 40 start-ups and in-house innovation projects

The BILLA Innovation Fair took place on October 3 under the motto “Innovation as the key to success”. Around 40 start-ups presented their latest products and services, providing deep insights into the future of retail and the food industry. The fair was attended by numerous guests from the industry and offered both start-ups and established companies a valuable platform for exchange and networking.

“Innovation is the engine that drives us. It helps us to better understand the needs of our customers and to fulfill them in the future,” explained Marcel Haraszti, CEO of REWE International AG, at the trade fair. “We are proud to be able to present so many creative ideas and concepts here at the innovation fair.”

In addition to the start-ups' presentations, BILLA presented its latest projects. From pioneering technologies to new services - the range of innovations presented shows how food retail will continue to develop in the coming years. The focus is on sustainability, digitalization and customer convenience.

“The future of retail is characterized by change and dynamism. We at BILLA are proud to be actively shaping this change and playing a pioneering role. For us, innovation is a driver that determines our actions - from new product ideas to pioneering services and technologies,” emphasized Erich Szuchy, Member of the BILLA Management Board.

Following the trade fair, the first Innovation Club took place on the roof of the parking garage. Guests were able to round off the day with a get-together in a relaxed atmosphere with refreshing drinks and DJ music.
