BILLA PLUS patisserie: Apprentices enchant federal states with handmade specialties

Every year, BILLA accompanies hundreds of apprentices on their way to becoming pastry chefs and teaches them how to create masterful desserts, cakes and pastries for every occasion. To give the professionals of tomorrow a stage now, eight pastry chef apprentices have been given the unique opportunity to showcase their creativity and passion for the craft. Special specialties will be available in selected BILLA PLUS locations in October.

Eva-Maria Kaiser, legal manager for the bakery and pastry shop at BILLA, supports the young talents: “In our BILLA pastry shops, our trained pastry chefs create a variety of sweet delicacies from Monday to Saturday. They are actively supported by our apprentices. Now we have turned the tables, allowing the apprentices free rein to choose their own creations. I am incredibly proud of how much creativity and skill they displayed at such a professional level during the process.”

Each province has its own specialty: from Vienna's Crookies to Tyrolean apple streusel cake

Customers can enjoy the apprentices' creations from October 3 to 31, 2024, in selected markets. For example, Crookies will be available at the BILLA PLUS pastry shop on Mariahilfer Straße in Vienna, apricot cake at the market on Industriestraße in Bad Vöslau, and Linzer tarts at Lindengasse in Linz. In the BILLA PLUS pastry shop on Wiener Straße in Neusiedl am See, the apprentices prepared Esterházy slices. Classic Carinthian Reindling can be found at the market on Ossiacher Bundesstraße in Feldkirchen. Delicious pumpkin seed tiramisu awaits customers in the BILLA PLUS pastry shop at Shopping City Seiersberg in Styria. In Salzburg, the apprentices crafted Mozart slices for customers at the market on Halleiner Landesstraße in Oberalm. Customers at Mitterweg in Innsbruck can look forward to apple streusel cake.
