‘Gloggi’ and ‘GLupschi’: BILLA merchant in Gloggnitz relies on ultra-modern support from robot duo

Independent BILLA retailer Marko Miskovic is now using two robots in his store in Gloggnitz to provide a very special shopping experience. For the first time, both a service robot and a state-of-the-art cleaning robot are being used in combination in an Austrian supermarket. The service robot is available to answer customers' questions about the product range, while the autonomous cleaning robot takes care of perfect hygiene in the store. The idea of bringing two ultra-modern robots into his store was the result of the BILLA retailer's own initiative and was realised in collaboration with the German-Austrian company salesmotion. This innovative new development once again emphasises the many opportunities available to independent shop assistants at BILLA.

“Gloggi” and “GLupschi” are on duty every day for the customers

The service robot, mediabot from salesmotion, actively supports customers in finding products, guides them through the store, and informs them about current offers. It is designed to enhance interaction and make shopping stress-free and efficient. Marko Miskovic named the mediabot “Gloggi” in reference to its location in Gloggnitz. The cleaning robot ensures impeccable hygiene in the store and moves completely autonomously within it. It ensures that the floors are in pristine condition. Due to its prominent eyes, it was given the name “GLupschi” by the retailer – with “GL” in capital letters as a nod to Gloggnitz.
