Coffee with Cops: PENNY and the police invite to a chat

On 2 April 2025, the PENNY shop at Simmeringer Hauptstraße 59 - 61 became the neighbourhood's living room. Between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m., it was time to drink coffee, ask questions and simply start a conversation, as PENNY and the Vienna Police invited people to a personal conversation as part of the GEMEINSAM.SICHER initiative. This format encourages dialogue at eye level - open, informal, honest. Anyone who has always wanted to ask what goes on behind the scenes at the police station or simply wants to say ‘thank you’ had the opportunity to do so today for the first time at PENNY.

By implementing this initiative at PENNY for the first time, an open sign of neighbourliness and mutual understanding is being set. "Direct contact between the civilian population and the police is particularly important in an urban environment. As a local supplier in the centre of the district, we want to create space for this valuable exchange," says Kai Pataky, Managing Director of PENNY Austria.
