Free ice cream with your report card: ADEG sweetens the end of the school year

Once again this year, ADEG is providing a particularly refreshing surprise to kick off the summer holidays: on Friday, 27 June 2025, all schoolchildren in Vienna, Lower Austria and Burgenland who visit an ADEG store with their school report card will receive a free ice cream. It doesn't matter what grades are on the report card – because at ADEG, every child deserves a cool refreshment after a hard school year.

The popular ice cream campaign has become an integral part of ADEG retailers' social commitment in their communities. As always, the focus is on making the start of the holidays more enjoyable for schoolchildren. With a free ice cream, which schoolchildren can pick up at participating ADEG stores in eastern Austria on report card day on 27 June, a refreshing and relaxed start to the holidays is guaranteed! REWE Wholesale Managing Director Florian Klein is also delighted that the campaign is continuing: ‘Our merchants are deeply rooted in their communities and show every day how much they care about the local people. The ice cream campaign is a wonderful example of how small gestures can bring great joy. I am proud that together we are once again making the end of the school year special.’

An ice cream for every report card

A total of 250 ADEG stores across Austria are participating in the ice cream promotion, which takes place on report card day in each federal state. One of them is ADEG retailer Wolfgang Rein from Niederabsdorf (Gänserndorf district): "I can still remember how exciting the last day of school always was – finally, holidays! That's exactly the feeling we want to convey. An ice cream as a reward for the efforts of the year is a small gesture to everyone who has done their best, regardless of the grades on their report cards!"
