BILLA beverage store opens: New shop concept offers all kinds of refreshments, snacks and services

After around three months of construction, Austria's first BILLA beverage store has opened in Krems and is now the top address for beverages and party supplies. The store is located in the same centre as BILLA PLUS and Marktküche at Landersdorfer Straße 8. With a sales area of around 740 m2, it offers more than 2,600 beverages, 200 snacks and over 190 items for your next celebration. The store is visually appealing with its refreshing colours and motifs. While a yellow lemonade and giant straw print adorns the entrance area, the interior features a lively design in grey and yellow with modern lighting elements. Store manager David Kumhera and his team of six are on hand to advise all customers on any questions or requests they may have while shopping.

Erich Szuchy, BILLA CEO: ‘At BILLA, innovation is not just a buzzword, but a way of life. We are constantly breaking new ground and focusing on modern concepts such as the first BILLA beverage market in order to meet the needs and concerns of our customers even more precisely.’ Hamed Mohseni, BILLA Sales Director, adds: ‘The Wachau region is known as a tourist and gourmet destination and has a strong club culture in Krems and the surrounding area. Whether it's fire brigade festivals, music clubs or sports clubs – with the range of products on offer at the BILLA beverage market, we are meeting the growing demand for a reliable supply of beverages in large quantities.’

More than 2,600 beverages for every taste – from non-alcoholic to sparkling

The new shop concept offers an impressive selection of more than 900 non-alcoholic beverages such as water, lemonades, fruit juices and energy drinks. The range includes 770 wines, more than 180 types of sparkling wine and over 450 spirits. Beer lovers can expect over 270 bottled, canned and speciality beers such as O'Hara's Irish Pale Ale from Ireland and Birra Moretti L'Autentica from Italy. In addition, 20-litre kegs of Ottakringer Bio Zwickl Rot, Ottakringer Lager, Zwettler Original and Weitra Hell and a 50-litre Wieselburger keg are available. The regional breweries Gallien Bräu and BrauSchneider are also represented. A highlight in the store is a dedicated shelf with around 40 items of non-alcoholic wine, sparkling wine and spirits. In addition, there is also a 37 m² container-style cold room from which customers can take chilled drinks directly home with them. Two empty bottle return systems are available at the BILLA beverage store for returning deposits.

From get-togethers to summer parties: snacks and decorations for every celebration

To go with the refreshments, the new BILLA drinks market offers 200 confectionery items, savoury snacks and nuts. The focus is on popular classics such as chocolate, crisps, crackers and popcorn – including the salted variety in a bucket from regional producer Steirerpop in Styria. Since decorations are a must for a successful party, the range is complemented by over 190 items such as disposable and reusable tableware, glasses, coasters, straws, napkins, candles, garlands and games.

Wide range of services: Click & Collect, wine tavern furniture rental and purchase on commission

Whether it's a big party or family shopping, customers can make use of the Click & Collect service at BILLA. This allows them to conveniently order drinks from the comfort of their own home in the BILLA online shop and pick up their ready-made shopping at the BILLA beverage market at their desired time slot. Purchase on commission is also possible. To do so, the goods must be returned within ten working days in perfect condition – unopened, in their original packaging, without signs of use and clean. In addition, customers have the option of borrowing parasols and wine tavern furniture for their celebrations from the beverage market for purchases of 250 euros or more. This requires advance registration at the store and a deposit of €60.
