BILLA donates €2,550 to St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna

At the end of November, the forecourt of the BILLA supermarket at Himbergerstraße 26 in Vienna's Favoriten district became a stage for solidarity in action: on 28 and 29 November, employees organised a punch stand there, with the proceeds going to St. Anna Children's Hospital. The campaign was implemented with great commitment by the local team and was also very well received by customers and the neighbourhood.

Commitment with continuity

This was the second charity event organised by the BILLA supermarket this year: a barbecue was held in the summer. A total of €2,550 was raised at both events, which has now been donated to St. Anna Children's Hospital in Vienna. ‘I am delighted with the amount of support we have received for these initiatives, both from our customers and within our team. Campaigns like this show how much can be achieved with a sense of community,’ says Aleksandar Petrovic, BILLA market manager in Himbergerstraße. Marina Roscher, BILLA Sales Manager for Vienna, adds: ‘At BILLA, we not only want to ensure local supply with our respective stores, but also contribute to social cohesion in the community. The fact that our donation directly benefits sick children is both touching and a source of pride.’
