For a good cause: punch and Perchten at BILLA in Reichenau an der Rax

At BILLA in Reichenau an der Rax (Neunkirchen district), they take to heart the fact that Christmas is not just about presents and biscuits, but that social interaction also plays an important role. For this reason, the entire team organised a punch hut for a good cause to get everyone in the mood for the second Sunday of Advent.

  • Visitors were able to enjoy hot drinks and regional pastries while doing good with a donation.

  • The net proceeds will go to the Reichenau an der Rax Volunteer Fire Brigade.

With warm drinks and sweet treats, the BILLA market unfolded its pre-Christmas magic, which was organised with great passion by the market team. The traditional Perchten from the Sauriassl Pass Perchten group also provided some spooky and exciting moments.

Doing good together

The punch hut also served a social purpose, with all proceeds going to the Reichenau Volunteer Fire Brigade. "During Advent in particular, it is especially important to us to strengthen community spirit and show gratitude – especially to those who work every day to ensure safety and cohesion in our region. The positive response and great interest in the event impressively demonstrate how much such initiatives are appreciated. I would like to thank the entire team for this great campaign and the organisation," emphasises Stefan Weinlich, BILLA Sales Director for Lower Austria. Store manager Susanne Kain adds: ‘We are delighted that so many people took part in the event. It shows how strong the sense of community is in our region. It is particularly nice that we can support the Reichenau Volunteer Fire Brigade with the net proceeds. We want to use the Christmas season to say thank you for the valuable work that firefighters do throughout the year.’
