BILLA is boosting domestic egg production with its ‘100% Austrian’ pledge
As a reliable partner to the Austrian agricultural sector, BILLA consistently sources fresh eggs from Austria throughout the year. The annual volume of eggs purchased amounts to around 260 million, of which around 250 million are fresh eggs. Around 62% of these come from organic and free-range farms, and 38% from barn-reared farms. With this clear commitment to Austrian producers, BILLA ensures an annual value creation of around €55 million and purchases around 13% of the country’s eggs.
