Eastern Austria: Free Ice Cream for Students at ADEG to Celebrate the Start of the Holidays

With the start of the summer holidays, ADEG is once again launching its popular free ice cream campaign for students this year. On Friday, July 3, 2026, children can receive a free ice cream at participating ADEG stores in Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland by presenting their school report card. The campaign is taking place for the fourth time and marks the beginning of the holidays in a particularly sweet way. The focus is not on grades but on celebrating the successful completion of the school year and the start of what is arguably the best time of the year. The promotion is valid while stocks last.

Starting the holidays with a smile

The campaign reflects the close ties that many ADEG retailers maintain with their local communities. As local neighborhood suppliers, they support many families throughout the year and are much more than just a place for everyday shopping. Especially at the beginning of the summer holidays, the independent retailers want to bring a little joy to children and give them a refreshing start to their time away from school. Florian Klein, Managing Director of REWE Wholesale, emphasizes: “The last day of school is a special occasion for children every year. With the free ice cream campaign, our ADEG retailers make this moment even a little more enjoyable. Grades do not matter – what matters is that the holidays begin with a smile.”
