Regionality tour in Vienna and Burgenland - BILLA visits local producers

BILLA focuses on a diverse assortment with a wide range of regional and local producers, who are often located in the immediate vicinity of the stores. This enables a particularly close and neighborly cooperation and promotes regional value creation.

Focus on exchange and partnership with local businesses

As part of the BILLA Regionality Tour, BILLA and BILLA PLUS employees visited six partner businesses in Vienna and Burgenland. They took a look behind the scenes of production at blün:aquaponik, Café-Konditorei AIDA and Kasnudl Stadtküche in Vienna. In Burgenland, the employees paid a visit to Tschida Chili, honey and oil maker Simon Tötschinger, and the Naglreiter bakery.

"At BILLA, direct exchange with our local partners is an essential part of our work in the regions. Our customers also attach great importance to local products. We launched the regionality tour to gain an even better insight into the challenges and needs of our partner businesses and to be able to respond to them together. It also gives us the opportunity to make our product range even more diverse and to tailor it to customer wishes. Regional businesses in particular know best which products are particularly in demand in their neighborhood," says BILLA Sales Director Eric Scharnitz enthusiastically.
