The U9 and U12 teams from Union Königswiesen and the U13 team from ASKÖ SV Viktoria Marchtrenk, who are all sponsored by BILLA, came to visit first. Three exciting stations awaited the young footballers on site: First, their knowledge of the world of soccer was put to the test in a quiz. Then they were able to give free rein to their creativity in a photo box before moving on to station number 3 in the restaurant attached to the BILLA PLUS store. There, together with restaurant manager Mario Seelos, pizzas were topped and then enjoyed. "It was really great to see how enthusiastic the children were right from the start! It was also a very fun and informative afternoon for us adults, and when it comes to soccer knowledge, no one can fool us any more," says store manager Leonhard Berndorfer with a laugh.
Punch stand for the SOS Children's Village Altmünster
At the same time as the footballers' visit, a second event for a good cause took place at BILLA PLUS in Welas Park on December 2. The team prepared (children's) punch at their own stand, which was then handed out for a voluntary donation. The sum of €996 collected went to the SOS Children's Village Altmünster. Simone Winkler, who has worked there for many years as an SOS Children's Village mother, accepted the donation cheque and had words of appreciation: "I would like to thank the entire BILLA PLUS team at Welas Park for their commitment and generous donation! This not only means a lot to me, but above all to the children in our SOS Children's Village, who will benefit from the donation." BILLA Sales Director Thomas Steingruber was also delighted: "It makes me really proud to see the enthusiasm with which the employees are giving their all for a good cause. I would like to thank each and every one of them and, of course, especially Sales Manager Adelheid Mai for the excellent organization."
