Greenpeace market check for seeds: BILLA and BILLA PLUS at the top of the podium
Seeds are not only being sown in Austria's fields at the moment, people are also indulging in hobby gardening in private households - both in the countryside and in the city. Just in time for spring, the environmental protection organisation Greenpeace took a close look at the selection of seeds in Austria's largest supermarkets. Quality criteria such as organic origin, regional origin, the propagability of the seeds and whether they are traditional varieties were assessed. BILLA was the test winner with the best range, followed by BILLA PLUS in second place - both received a "very good" rating from Greenpeace (BILLA: 92.5 % and BILLA PLUS: 91.5 %).
