BILLA supports young Viennese handball talent as a partner of the FIVERS

BILLA has established itself as a committed partner of Austrian sports clubs and plays an important role in the domestic sports scene with numerous initiatives. Projects such as the ‘I leb für mein Verein’ campaign, the organisation of the BILLA Football Cups with hundreds of children and young people from all over Austria taking part and the support of Admira Wacker's youth development work demonstrate the company's reliable commitment. With the new partnership with the Viennese handball club FIVERS, BILLA is further expanding its support in the area of youth development and sending a strong signal in favour of promoting young talent.

BILLA promotes the educational and athletic training of young handball players

The partnership will start in early 2025 and will initially last until September 2026. As part of the cooperation, the BILLA logo will adorn the jerseys of the FIVERS youth teams from U11 to U16. Additionally, BILLA supports the FIVERS Learning & Support Club, which aims to help young players manage their academic challenges alongside their sports training. BILLA will sponsor one of the four days a week on which young handball players receive free tutoring from FIVERS players and coaches. Furthermore, BILLA supports the Handball Kids Olympics of the FIVERS, in which around 800 children from various local schools will participate for an entire week.

Approximately 6,500 hours a year, 21 FIVERS coaches work with over 250 children and teenagers. Combined with the free learning & support club, we have been creating a perfect environment for the athletic, academic, and personal development of children and young people from currently 21 nations for over 20 years. We are incredibly pleased that we were able to convince BILLA of the idea and values of FIVERS Handball City Margareten, and that BILLA has become an essential part of our partner network.”
