BIPA is setting new standards in e-commerce with the first live shopping event in Austria. While the concept is already a popular shopping trend internationally, particularly in Japan and China, the Austrian drugstore retailer is now introducing this innovative form of shopping to the Austrian market for the first time, offering customers a unique, interactive experience. ‘In an increasingly digitalised world, our goal is to always be one step ahead. With the first live shopping event in Austria, we are setting an example of how new technologies and sophisticated delivery can enable a new way of shopping - direct, personal and innovative,’ explains Andreas Persigehl, Managing Director of BIPA.
During the live shopping event, the product package of the new Minecraft special edition from NYX will be presented by well-known influencers Christl Clear and Magdalena Stefancic via BIPA's Instagram and Facebook channel. Thanks to the cooperation with foodora, the products are also available to customers in Vienna in real time. They can place their orders directly via the foodora app during the live stream on 20 March between 18:00 and 18:40 and receive the special collection delivered directly to their doorstep shortly afterwards. During the 40-minute shopping event, the NYX products will also be available at a special price of €24.99 instead of the original price of €52.96. The full collection will then be available in 100 BIPA shops throughout Austria and in the BIPA online shop from 27 March 2025. Customers who purchase the strictly limited products during live shopping will therefore have them a week earlier. The Minecraft special collection from the popular beauty brand NYX, which is being released to coincide with the new Minecraft film, consists of a highlighter (Rare Resources Shimmer Balm), two blushes (MOB Blocks Cheeky Balms) and a lip balm in red.
Exclusive competition also for all non-Viennese
BIPA has also come up with something for all viewers outside Vienna who can't order the products straight away: during the livestream, they have the chance to win one of two coveted product boxes including two tickets to the new film ‘Minecraft: The Movie’, redeemable in all Cineplexx cinemas in Austria. All viewers who comment on the name of their favourite NYX special edition product during the stream can take part. ‘We're excited to see how our customers take to the new offer. Our aim is always to inspire them with innovative ideas and offer new shopping experiences,’ says Andreas Persigehl.
