BILLA supports the Vienna Red Cross with food at the Vienna City Marathon

The Vienna City Marathon, one of the biggest sporting events of the year, will take place on 6 April 2025. Not only will around 45,000 runners be taking part, but also over 300 employees of the Vienna Red Cross. In order to support the emergency services and honour the commitment of the Vienna Red Cross, BILLA will provide catering for the helpers and hand over food to those responsible at the Vienna Red Cross.

More than 300 employees, who support around 45,000 runners when they need help, are provided with packed lunches thanks to this measure

In order to support the emergency services and to honour the commitment of the Vienna Red Cross, BILLA is providing food for the helpers and handing over food to those responsible at the Vienna Red Cross: "The Vienna Red Cross is an indispensable pillar of our society and makes many major events, such as the Vienna City Marathon, possible in the first place. With the packed lunches, we would like to say a small thank you and ensure that the many dedicated helpers are provided for in the best possible way," explains BILLA Sales Director Stefan Weinlich.

The packed lunches were handed over on the day before the Vienna City Marathon at Vienna's Rochusmarkt, and those responsible at the Vienna Red Cross were delighted: "BILLA's support really means a lot to us. Our teams are on duty for many hours, especially at major events such as the Vienna City Marathon, so it is important that they are well catered for. With the packed lunches, BILLA is making a valuable contribution that not only provides practical help, but also shows that our commitment is recognised and appreciated. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this form of recognition," says Gabriele Domschitz, President of the Vienna Red Cross.
