Deposit bag instead of handbag – now at PENNY

Since the beginning of the year, Austria has introduced a deposit system for single-use containers. PENNY aims to make it easier for its customers to collect and return deposit bottles and is launching the practical deposit bag in all 320 stores. The return process is linked to a great initiative

  • Available immediately in all stores

  • Easy donation of deposits

The return process is linked to a great initiative – customers can either use the deposit receipt directly for their shopping (and receive an additional 10 percent off the most expensive product during their next purchase) or donate it to a charitable cause, such as the Austrian Red Cross. To date, over 20,000 euros in deposits have already been donated. This is how simple sustainable support can be in everyday life.

With the deposit bag, customers can conveniently collect and return empty deposit bottles and cans. “The deposit bag makes collecting deposit bottles even easier and serves as a good reminder that deposits should not be disposed of carelessly,” said Johannes Greller, Managing Director of PENNY Austria.

The deposit bag is now available for the price of €1.29. For jö members: redeem 100 points to receive the deposit bag.
