More time for what's important
BIPA is the first drugstore in Austria to set new standards in quick commerce through its partnership with foodora and is thus responding to changing customer needs: ‘At a time when our customers’ everyday lives are increasingly stressful and hectic, we want to make shopping as easy as possible for them so that they have more time for the important things in life. We are seeing a growing desire for more flexibility - including when it comes to drugstore shopping. That's why we will soon be expanding our foodora partnership to other cities and will therefore be represented in all federal states,’ explains BIPA Managing Director Andreas Persigehl. A total of 13 new locations, including Eisenstadt, Klagenfurt, Villach and Lustenau, will be activated in the app by the end of March 2025.
Customers order an average of nine products
Of the more than 8,000 items available - the online range is almost identical to that in the shops - over 6,000 items have already been ordered. Bestsellers include BI HOME own-brand kitchen roll, CLEVER handkerchiefs and bin liners, but cosmetics are also becoming increasingly popular. Orders are prepared in selected local shops, which guarantees a short delivery time. The BIPA shops in Favoritenstraße, Kreuzgasse and Hoher Markt have processed the most orders to date, but locations outside Vienna are also receiving more and more enquiries. After Vienna, Graz is currently in second place, closely followed by Linz. The shopping basket contains an average of nine products - the majority of deliveries can be delivered in less than 30 minutes. Orders are placed particularly frequently on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. In the federal capitals of Graz and Linz, BI HOME kitchen roll is at the top of the shopping list. People in Innsbruck prefer energy drinks, while infant formula is most popular in Salzburg and St. Pölten.
